X–Ray to the Rescue

Image of an xray of a foot

On February 7, 1896, the first x–ray was taken in Montreal by Professor John Cox. His poor patient had been shot in the leg on Christmas Day, but all of the doctors were having trouble actually finding the bullet that had lodged in his leg. With the help of Professor Cox and his X–ray machine, the unwelcome intruder was quickly found and removed.

Fieldtrips

All student need to have a current (2009/2010) fieldtrip permission slip signed and returned to the school. Please see the attached form. Generally fieldtrips will be announced in the monthly newsletter, however at times we will be attending spur of the moment fieldtrips to have the children attend a variety of activities.

Absences / Lateness

Please advise the school if your child will be away due to illness or other reasons. If your child misses more that three days in a row without a valid reason a parent/teacher meeting will be scheduled. Homework must be completed for any days missed.

We start our day 8:30 am each day and frequent lateness can add up to significant time that a child misses. It is extremely important that your child arrives on time daily so they are not missing out on the lessons being taught in the morning.
